A lot of us have entertained the notion of brewing our own beer at certain points. But if you’re anything like me, you probably quickly realized that you’re in way over your head. Luckily, there’s a new invention that’s about to make home brewing about a million times easier.
It’s called the PicoBrew Zymatic, and it’s apparently what happens “when you take a computer scientist, a food engineer, and a mechanical and electrical engineer… and you give [them] this challenge… how to ensure a neverending supply of truly great craft beer.”
The PicoBrew Zymatic team spent over four years developing the machine, which “eats” grain, hops, yeast, and water, and “poops out” (interesting word choice on their part, but we get the picture) delicious beer.
It’s all automated and pre-configured, with the ability to download dozens of beer recipes online. You can also create your own craft beer recipes, if you’re feeling experimental.
It all sounds a little too good to be true, but hey, just the possibility of owning what’s basically a Keurig for beer is kind of blowing my mind.
Oh and by the way? It can also cook steaks (I’m not kidding).
